View Full Version : Switcher Positioner and Pattern Control
You know how you can control a wipe in a Grass Valley 110 switcher with the positioner and pattern control, including the aspect, border and border softness?
That would be a very useful feature to have.

I agree with the previous. In looking at the screens for XYZ positioning for T3, it brought to mind that it would be swell to do this with an external joystick device...perhaps just hooking up a "game-style" joystick through a USB port would do it. As you position and rotate...you would just mark it by hitting a button. Similar in function to a Grass Valley DPM DVE. This joystick approach might help with general wipe/effects/object positioning.

I have been asked for this feature from a couple of high end churches and event videographers also.
USB joysticks are nearly free so why not use what's available.
Good idea Taiji!

I agree. It's the thing I miss most about the MX switchers we were using.
