Can PC's read Mac Lightwave files?

So if I create a .lwo or .lws file on my Mac version of Lightwave,

can PC Lightwaver's use them ?

Yes they can, but do not expect things to go all without problems!!

Especially .lws files, I had many problems with these!!

.lwo is no problem


when opening a macmade-lw scene on a pc, I had following problems:


"Could not load a line error 69"
"LW just crashed"
"some settings were back to standard settings"



all these problems go away when you open your .lws file in a program like BBEDIT and change the file's line endings into DOS line endings instead of Mac-endings.

But generally, scenes are ok when openend on a PC. the more complex things get, the more you risk errors.
