*extra* wide palette problem

for some reason, my palettes in Modeler (7.5c) are extremely wide...I'd estimate about twice as wide as the viewable area on my monitor! Clicking the "+" button doesn't make them behave, nor does trashing Modeler's plist.

Has anyone else encountered this and is there a fix?
