How can I limit the Choices a user has in the file requester. I want to lock out the System Volume from the user but not the app. I figure I'd have to handle that within the app, since Windows would inhibit the Toaster if file restrictions were inacted there. So any ideas how it's done with VT script? or if it is?

You might find some useful info here:

That's sort of in the right direction Brad, but I need to limit users' access to the system volume while not interfering with VT[3]s need for full access.
Essentially, I want the file requester to ignore the System Vol, and the secondary partition but ALWAYS default to the removable storage devices.
Setting Permissions in XP causes major conniption fits from VT[3].
So far It's raring to go! 'cept for this one thing.
Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I can appreciate you desire to limit users access and hope you find an answer. I guess this (or these) machines will be in a 'public' or academic environment. You may find that 'education' of the users and a full easy to deploy backup scheme to be the best reasonable approach.
For years I kept my kids access to an absolute minimum on our home computers and spend quite a bit of time dealing with it. One day I read an article that convinced me to change my approach. Teach them the right way, build some trust, expect the occasional problem, and have a plan for worst case problems. Most likely, malicious users will know how to defeat your security anyways.

You're exactly right. But for some political reasons the security for these systems is falling to me. Even though we have a training department who indeed SHOULD be thinking along those lines, they expect the system to be bullet-proof in all regards.
I think what I'll do is try and force the issue of education vs. limitation. Thanks!
