Can anyone give me the steps, start to finish, for doing a time code burn from Ted. I beleive it can be done thru Aura but I tried the steps and I can't get it to work. Maybe someone who has done it can explain it more clearly to me.

Thanks

Not sure this is going to help Ray, but I don't think it can be done through Aura (or if it can, it would take forever and a year for Aura to render it, depending on the length of your video).

The counter clip we can create in Aura is intended (I think) to be used as an overlay in TEd. Months ago I played around with creating a counter clip and didn't have any problems making one. However, the resulting short test RTV clip was humongous (= very huge) even when I tried it with a tiny Aura project size that was barely bigger than the set of timecode numbers.

Hopefully Steve B. or someone else can set us straight.

I did get it to work somewhat but it takes forever. First you need to import your clip, then open the timecode writer and lay it under your clip and merge the layers, after that you need to apply the filter then export the resulting clip back out....it is, to say the least, very cumberson. I ahve a job I need a window dub for and thought I could do it this way but not sure it is worth it. Thought it may be quicker in Premiere but that program won't do it at all. Looks like the only solution is to make a S-VHS dub from the timeline...then digitine it into Ted from the monitor output of the SVHS deck with the "on-screen" turned on...then dub. Not the best solution..really would like the ability to overlay the TC right from Ted without all this hassel. If anyone has suggestions please...let me know.
