Does anyone know if Aura will be upgraded for T3 to include
an intergrated particle system?

Last I heard, they wanted it to be in Aura 3, but it did not make it in. Something about integrating particles in Aura being more difficult than originally expected.

Let me clarify: I haven't hear whether T[3], initially at least, will include an Aura upgrade (with or without the particle engine.)

For what i know about integrating particles to Aura, if they have a problem, it certainly not because of difficulty. A particle engine is not hard to do, and making a plugin of it , while not the easiest thing, is not that difficult either.
