Could someone experienced in using SkyTracer2 answer these two questions for me?
1. When setting sun positions, how can I place the sun at a particular position in my scene. The Sun Position panel assumes you know time and location for actual celestial positioning, but this isn't very practical if you don't happen to know where the sun or moon would be in the sky at any particular place and time. Or are able to figure out where in the world you could find the moon at 270 degrees with a 30 degree elevation if that happens to be where you want to position it! I thought I might be able to position it by dragging the SKT_Sun light about, but this doesn't seem to be the case either.
2. If I change the 'sun' type to moon the 'moon' rendered is dimmer than when it was a sun, but it still has a warm, red, sunny glow. I'd prefer my moon to have a white, silvery glow if possible! Is this an issue related to the time/place settings again? To change from sun to moon do I need to do more than just change the type? Do I also have to set dead of night someplace and then search for the moon somewhere in the sky by making repeated renders until I eventually find it?
Of course I can dispense with the sun and moon features of SkyTracer2 and fake them by other means, for instance using lights or luminous circles or spheres. But would I then be able to cast streaks through holes in the SkyTracer2 clouds, or cast a glow onto the cloud bases?
Thanks for any help.
Petre.
