Text scripting question

I just want to know if it is possible to automatically display text on-screen from a text file, or html or Excel sheet with VT, using some scripts of course.

For example I have a list of names in an Excel sheet and I want to display one name after the other.

You can do it with Mirage

I am using a pluging that reads an Excel file and inserts cells text on Mirage. Then you only have to select DSK channel to Mirage and you get it!
You can even control text with an external remote controller very easy.

Nice ! Now what I'm also trying to figure out is how to display incoming SMS messages coming in ascii format through the internet. I don't suppose you can make crawling text in Mirage. And does your system work with Aura 2.5 ?

Yes.
I have also a pluging that get SMS messages from internet and put the text on Mirage screen. You can use several templates (banners,etc.) to insert the text with a background.

Also you can read a plain text or an Excel file to put the text on screen. You can select timing (i.e a new text every 5 seconds) or you can put a new line or a new cell from a button or an external switch. Sometimes I use an external keyboard with up to 64 programable key in order to access to any function on VT.

Now, I am working on a pluging that can update text from a lan. VT will be TCP/IP connected to other computer and it will be updated with new texts or graphics.

The plugin simply get text from Internet and put it on Mirage screen. When systems receive a new message, it simply update the text. You only have to select Mirage on VT DSK.

I use only static text but I think it would be possible to move text or even playback animations.

We're also looking for a solution for displaying text from external source. Did you create these excel-plugin / internet-plugin yourself or where did you get it ?
