Deselecting Object, A Quicker Method

Hi,

Is there an alternative way to deselect points, polygons, objects, etc., as opposed to clicking on the points or polygon tab and then clicking off on some vacant gray space?

There is a keyboard shortcut for "deselect all," if that's what you mean. It's mapped to '/' by default, but you can remap it if you wish.
