View Full Version : exporting rotation in shockwave 3d

i am having big problems exporting rotation to shockwave 3d format. all the heading rotations become pitch rotations and visa versa. i could just create an animation where all the pitch and heading values were switched manually, but is there a simpler way?

also does anyone know why inverse kinematics doesnt export to shockwave 3d?

It depends on what you are trying to do. Yes the rotation values are different but you can't do much to change that. U just need to learn which is which. Also if u are importing the w3d into another world which was created in max it will cause problems with the axis'

U can export inverse kinetmatics but u need to bake the keys but it will make ur file a bit bigger

dont remeber exactly, I didnt play with this W3D for a longer time, but read technotes and similar, this problem is known, its just another system of 3d Space, the solution is to rotate your modells in lighhtwave according to W3D specs^^
