empty UV maps? copy UVs?

Anybody know how to make an empty UV map in LW 7.5?

What I really want to do is to copy a UV map from one model to another (same geometry of course). There is a freeware plugin called UV edit, which seems it will do this, but you need an empty UVmap to paste into. The native LW copy UV function seems to limit you to copying within the same object.

Have you tried clicking on the ''New UV Map'' button?

Just make sure the ''Initial Value'' checkbox is UN-checked.


Silly question I know, but if the geometry is the same....

Then that means all you need to do is copy the polygons, or object you want to be the new model, & paste it into a layer of the one you want to replace.

The UV map will go with it, no need to copy the map.
