head modeling

i've looked around for different tutorials on modeling a head, and i've found some, but they seem too... complicated, using all kinds of plug-ins and stuff. Up until recently I had this prejudice thing with box modeling, but after watching a video tutorial of a head being box-modeling in less then 5 minutes (fast speed)... then i kinda got motivated. I need VIDEO tutorials, because i don't work good with non-visual things. The video tutorial of the box modeling has no sound and goes way too fast. Does anyone know where I can find the original? If it's not a video tutorial, I don't want it. If it costs money, i dont want it. and if it uses weird plug-ins or is in fast motion, I DONT WANT IT! Thx for listening...

I was going to tell ya of a video that does full humans from boxes but it costs 39.99, so I won't.

Can't think of any that are free.
