Edge Mattes

Could someone please explain to me how to create an edge matte in digital fusion. I have done this before but cannot for the life of me remeber how to do this. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Use a filter tool set to Sobel or Lapilacian. You may need to blur the image slightly before hand or adjust the contrast levels.
