Here is a head that I try and find time to work on but lately not alot of luck....got it uv mapped and temp texture...

Hey, looks good Proton. Looks like the UV is working out pretty good.

The only thing I might suggest is changing the poly flow in the neck area somewhat to account for the SCM muscles in the neck if the model is going to be animated at all.

I have a pretty good example of it on my head model I just posted. You can see the polygons coming down from the ear on the side view. http://vbulletin.newtek.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16293

Is it just the head you're doing or are you modeling the body as well?

I did it just for fun and for testing LightWave Eight. Cartoon models don't seem to get the same respect as well. I'm more a fan of cartoon style but can appreciate the realistic stuff.

I plan on manipulating this model when I get time to change it into a cool caricature....

Proton mad skills are blinding. Took a friend to point out what display mode he was working in. Them be colored wireframe on textures. Woohoo.

NIce.. but need some relax tool on the Uv around the ears... is the Relax tool omplented yet? i know we talked about it at the 3dfestival.

the new modes and settings are extremely helpful and have become impossible for me to work without :)

Mmhh! wires on textured mode... :)

I agree with HR about polyflow in neck area,
but for the rest, very clean mesh at all.

Excellent head!

One minor thing that I noticed in the Top view is that the head may be a bit too "boxy" in it's shape. Heads are usually more oval or egg shaped, not just from the front but also the top. IMHO :)

I love the hidden backface wireframe view! The colored wireframes are cool too but the hidden backface is where it's at for me...

Hi all

Can we also see Subd Objects in Layout 8 in like we currently see them in Modeler and not all tripled polys?

This feaure would be handy :)
