Here's a new charactor I am working on. She is shaded with the unreal cel-shader. the one issue a have is the Silhouetted edges. they seem to get harser as you move away from the charactor and break up when you use the Shrink Edges With Distance option. Any constructvive crits are welcome:cool:

Pretty cool, I too am cell-shader defunct. I would say given the straight-forward (as to what it is doing in there) take on the cell shaders its probably something that could be resolved in setting up Anti-Aliasing stuff. Who knows. Kathy is cool but her fingers need thickening a tad. Only thing i can say.

Here's an update on Kathy. I don't have sasquatch so it's helmet hair again.

Peace out.

Hi Jutland,

Love Ur character. everything looks fine to me, except for the head. Maybe I am wrong, but the head seems out of proportion to the body.

Also, the neck seems sunk into the body a little. It seems that maybe the top of the head could be higher, to give the eyes a more central position.

Hope my crit helps. I long for the day when my character work is this good.

I'll keep watching, to se how this goes. I realy like your treatment of the eyes. Good work.

Best Wishes

Thanks for the crit Dave. U got a sharp eye to catch that the head was out of portion by 10mm. Also stretched the neck out. Here's the corrected model..

P.S. Just to let u know, this model is my fourth completed human model.

Hi Jutland,

Nice expressions. The lower lip looks like it blends into the chin too much. Maybe it's just the cell shading. Also the corner of the eyes near the nose look too squashed and pinched, maybe the eyes aren't positioned half way up the face, but maybe that is what U R going for. What do U think?

Don't get me wrong though, I do like Ur character, but this is the kinda crit that I always which I wish would get from paeople, hehe.

Best Wishes

You know Dave, your starting to sound like my producer.. what do you mean he's standing behind me?!

Anyways thanx for Crits. I found point on several ploys in the eye that had been welded together. (hos did that happen? Do'h)

As for the lower lip, part of the blending is because of the cel shader. Cel shaders tend to get rid of alot of small details when rendering. I had to cut the lip in petty far to get these render.:(

Here's an update on Kathy. Changing the lighting rig does wonders for the 'tone' of the pic.:p
