A little web anime pitch to a friend...

Nifty! I like that the wheel thingy is not perfectly aligned to the axis. That slight off-ness gives it personality.

However: The gif is moving very fast; too fast for the casual observer to want and read it. Of course I'm in Safari, so I dono what that means in relation to other browsers.

It might be a nice idea to have a VERY slight reflection happening on the edge of the nut. Just so you see some movement.
And finally, that same idea of movement is missing, I feel on the outer edge of the red wheel. One can't see any motion at all. Maybe add some roughness or something. Some treads perhaps?

Anyway, I like the design. Good work.

Thanks... I agree with all of your points! This was just a pitch to a friend so I kept thing very minute. I loaded a Gif but the final would be a Flash file with a set frame rate to erase any bandwidth discrepancy.
