rendering out a wireframeshade to texture mode

I have Lightwave 7.5, are you able to render out your models as wireframe shade?
I see these demo reels from vancover that has this effect all the time. I'd like to be able to fade between wireframe shade and textured.

I know I can render out in wireframe but its not the same and looks terrible. I dont want to be able to see through the object.

Go to object properties / edges tab. Try 'other edges'
