Hears a niffy idea...
How about adding a MIDI function where the VT2 talks to MIDI devices, have it setup in a fashion to where you can control the VT2 interface.
Audio panel, could be MIDI connected to an AUdio Surface Devicewith realtime sliders and knobs, similar to propellerhead Reason
You could then in turn sync external recorders like Tascam
Im shure a lot of us have audio gear laying around aswell
