.lws files crashing Layout

This problem just started. Files I have recently worked on or created and then saved will not reopen w/o crashing Layout. Older files don't have this problem. To my recollection i haven't installed any new plugins that would coencide with this problem. it seems to be pretty random about what types of files too. Some files are real beasts with full scenes, texture nulls, bones, deformations and some are just a simple object with a few nulls...

i don't believe it to be the objects in the files since i can load those seprately in Layout without any troubles...

I looked at your scene and had no problems whatsoever. The only thing I noticed that there is some invalid geometry (1 point polys) but if Surfacebaker hadn't come up and complained I wouldn't have.

you using 7.0? I founf I had lots of problems loading scenes with 7.0 and mainly due to, indeed, the image editor.
