View Full Version : Issues with Adding bones?

Hey all,

Hypothetically, if I've rigged a character, set it up, recorded the pivots and rest positions of all the bones etc and I add new bones to the rig, will I run into problems?

Particularly if I've gone and done some animation first, (well quite a lot of animation actually), and now found that the rig is inadequate and I need another couple of bones here and there.

:(

Is there a solution around this if there is a problem? Is it likely to say, hypothetically of course, cause LightWave to crash when the scene is closed?

Anyone care to comment, please.

The only problem I can think of is if you've animated the positions of the bones below the added bone in the hierachy. It shouldn't crash or anything, just the bone below the new one may need some adjustment to work as it did..
