Hi Newtekkers,

Back to modeling after a long hiatus (since LW 8), so I'm pretty rusty. Could use some conceptual help with the following:

I am designing an exhibit in LW and have modeled the gallery, cases, etc. Now I'm setting up lighting. The gallery has a simple rectangular light track that runs around the ceiling, and it occurs to me that it might be a time-saver to constrain my lights to a form that mimics the track. Is this possible? My instinct tells me it is, but as I mentioned, it's been a while since I played in LW, and the wish might have been father to the thought.

TIA

If you are on 9.0 or higher you can use lumionous poly and radiosity will take care of the rest, it's very fast if you set it to final gather. Model the geometry, put in on a separate layer (to check unseen by camera if you want to), give it a bright color and 100% luminosity or even more. Hope that helps.

Got a pic what you are trying to replicate?
