Hi, i have a strange problem with the image loader very often. It doesn't want to load a special type of images, no matter what i do. But it seems to be file related, whenever i open a new file and try to load the images, no problem.

In this case now it wont load tga files. Any ideas ? Rebuilding the scene takes alot of time.

hello ingo,

have you checked your lightwave cfg file to see if it is still listed in your line of filetypes, just edit with notepad and take a look there first. maybe something overwrote it.

good luck and i finally got the glass the way i wanted it, thanks

Hi Paul,

thanks for your help, but the problem is file related. It happens when you add and delete a lot of objects or work with HV, that corrupts slowly the scene file.

doh!! that doesn't sounds too good.

is your hard drive full. i am on a pc but i know if my swap file/temp folder is too low on space then everything gets written in bad chunks. specially when photoshop and other video app are open. lucky for us the hd are dirt cheap now. now i got 80 gig free on my main drive.

on a mac i am not sure what happens to the temp folder when it needs space for operating system and programs.

is this a landscape rendering in hypervoxel?

When i open another file i have no problems to load the images, and i still have enough space on my HD.

I use HV in this case for fountains.

I'm sure you've tried re-loading plug-ins, have you tried re-loading with a different i/o plug-in file?

So far I've had the least problems with PSD fromat, just started trying PNG which look good and save a lot of space, and I haven't tried TIF yet. I don't use TGA or JPG anymore after a few problems.
