I am experiencing a audio hiss through the speakers on startup of VT5 software. It will continue even after shutting down the VT5 software and will continue until I reboot the computer. Once back up and running all is fine for as long as you want to edit.
This requires me to boot the computer twice to get things to work everytime. :(

I am coming out of the VT card to the on-board audio card then out to the speakers..

Any suggestions

Thank you,

Jason

sounds like a bad corupted driver.
I would uninstall and reload the software. You may have a problem with the onboard audio also.
I have always used external power amps or self powered speakers.
If you have a ground loop iso box of somekind that may also solve the problem.
Or... (joke) a wayward Wisconsin Snow Snake.

Thanks Pete. Perhaps I will reinstall the software after I am done with this video and see if that helps. It is very consistent however, with load up, hiss, then reboot, works fine.
Strange.

The curse of the snow snake.
yes strange but true.

Did it always do this or did it just start.
The other question, what changed when it started.

Good places to start trouble shooting.
