hey,

Heres my skyline. You may have seen a dodgey render of it in a recent thread but ive decided to go the other way and make it more of a street skyline rather than a track racing one. Ive still got to do some fix ups and extra details along with nismo and racing decals etc. but heres what its looking like so far, like always i'd love to hear all crits and or comments.

thanks

Simon

PS: Should i change the rims they dont fully satisfy me, any suggestions for what to make them as?

Nice!!! :)

Just add a little camber to the wheels to give it that phat stance :p lol then you can do a render of it doing a nice drift:D

it would be a cool car to see in a night setting/backdrop. make the details on the rims and green paint stand out.

cool car

It's looking pretty slick so far. The spokes on the rims look a little on the thin side, but that's just my opinion. Can't wait fo the final, with all the sponsorship decals. and maybe some fuzzy dice. yeah fuzzy dice. Everyone loves fuzzy dice. ;)

Now were talking peoples. Yeah i fully wanna do it driffting round a corner at night in a deserteded kinda suburb i think it'd look sick. Yeah i need to work on the mags abit in the way of detail. They should come out ok. I working on the background at the moment so ill post a render when its more underway.

Cheers

Si

PS: Ill add some fuzzy dice for ya Rikki-Tik ;)

hmm i am not too good at english, but I will try to cover quickly the basics of hdri -lightning:

-first you need to get an hdr image (hdri= high dinamic range image) you can find really good (and free :) ones around the internet easily, but there are some included with LW. So choose one, that you think is good for an environment for your car...
-load that image with image editor.
-under the scene tab select backdrop, and set up an image environment, and select your hdr image under the image environment properties.
-select your light , go to properties / global illumination, and turn on radiosity. For a (relatively) quick preview render choose interpolated radiosity, and give it a ... around 0.1 tolerance.
-now you can hit f9 , but you can further tweak your settings.
-if its too bright turn down your radiosity strength, or uncheck affect diffuse on your light properties panel.
-play with different settings, and images.
-have fun :-)
