I have absolutely no idea how to texture my model so it will be right when I animate it. I just need some pointers on how to texture this model the way I want. Here is a pic of the model so far, and a pic of my kitten that I want to use as reference to texture. I will make the textures in Photoshop, I just need to know how to setup the model for the textures. And please no "RTFM" either cause I need some real world help here.

Thanks

Kitten I will use for the textures:

I can't believe this is Newtek's Lightwave forum and noone can help me with something as common as a UV map. I just don't know where to begin...and the tutorials I've found so far aren't step by step, they seem to think you know all the terms and ins and outs of Lightwave already.

Maybe that's cos' not many people are that comfortable with UV mapping.

Try this : UV mapping tutorial (http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/LightwaveTuts/LWTutSet.html)

Hope it helps:)
