Bevel Broken? Can anyone confirm this?

I've made a simple 24 sided disc, 4mm radius. Numerically bevelled it in by 1mm, but the bevel seems to be 1.0086mm. LW10.1, release build, on Win7 64bit. Can anyone confirm?

Ok - it seems that the 1mm bevel inset is being calculated not from the top-most vertice to the newly created inset vertice, but rather from the centre point between two original neighbouring vertices to the same point on the newly created vertices. Does that make sense? Basically, on a cyclinder it would be from face to face rather than from vert to vert.
