Here my first car model, only the exterior done and even then it is lacking mirrors and such, and I haven't realistically shaded it. It's all done with subpatch surfaces, and I would like to know if I can still use the techniques in lewis's car tutorial for the mustang to model the interior?
Here is the pic:

Hi there,

Good solid start.

I modelling my first car too. A few tips that may help....

Try cranking up the Render SubPatch Level to atleast 6.

If U render just the car without the background stuff, change the background colour under the scne tab in layout to a lite blue, set ambient light to 0 and the scene lights to zero, then unser global illumination, which is under the Lights tab, hit Shading Noise Reduction and Enable Radiosity. Choose Type as backdrop Only and Rays Per Evalution to 6 x 18 as a test, then when u got what u want, crank it up as high as u can handle.
This should help u with presentation.

Is that a Scoda by the way.

The Lewis Tut is a great start for any car model U working on. I am using it myself.

There is also a great modelling resourse here.....

People on here should have helped U out sooner.

Best Wishes

Thanks, I will try the radiosity trick, I wasn't sure how to do it. All of that model, an Audi A4, is modelled with one subdivision object, unfortunately that makes building the interior a bit of a challenge. So I will probably switch to Lewis's technique. For now though, I may start modelling an airplane.
