I am getting this error when I try to render a .mov file...
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime - Runtime Error! C:\Program Files.....Layout.exe, This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Newtek support adviced me to reinstall Quicktime and Lightwave 10.1. I have done this and the problem still exists. I have even deleted the config files and have restarted the program just in case.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to solve the issue?

I am working off a PC, running XP, Service pack 2

Render to image sequence, and try building MOV using fresh scene, same resolution, and use sequence as backdrop. If it fails too, use some other software to build MOV from image sequence.

Thank you, Sensei. I was able to render a MOV in this manner. However, my main problem still exists. I would love to render normally without this extra step. In fact, I also used Quicktime Pro to compile my rendered sequence of images into a MOV.
