Hi there!

I was always a big Mad Max fan.
After i found the car-tutorial from Lewis, i decided to try to model the black interceptor.
To get some more experience, i modeled the blower first. Still need some tweaks here and there.
Wheels are next on the list, then comes the hard part ....the actual body

poor hdri rendering (no AA) (http://www.cueball.de/images/wip/Blowercomplete_hdri.jpg)

Thanks again to Lewis for his tutorial!
I wish i could create such clean meshes like him :)

regards,
Cueball

Just saw it again (I'm fan) on TV last night, Mad Max 1 mean, the only true real ;)
Love that hero with a splint !
Love your engine ! Can almost hear the sucking hair aspiration !! Where did you get the ref pics ? Could you point me to some places ?

I may be wrong but I think the interceptor is an Australian Ford Falcon.

Yeah, its an australian falcon.
Great page with infos about the
film can be found here (http://www.madmaxmovies.com)
Surely the surfaces need work, but i wont make a dirty car like in part 2 :p
Got some time this weekend and will tweak some size-mismatches and the surfaces
and then going to go for the car-body.

Now you need a Mel Gibson model sitting on the ground behind it and you're set. :)

Unfortunately the body of the car isnt going as smoothly as i thought. I got big big troubles getting everything looking right. I got lots of pictures of the car, but all are a bit disorted due to the perspective of the photographer. So its hell a work to get it looking correct... looking through few pictures, tweaking, looking again and so on.... I hope i can get a good overall look of the car... adding detail isnt a big problem later.

Starting with splines.... (http://www.cueball.de/images/wip/Body001.jpg)

Update:
After a lot of tweaking im almost done with the spline-cage. Then the fun part can start :D
Just did a quick test and tried the front-end today and it came out pretty good.
More to come after the weekend

Finally i can show something of the body.
Now im adding details and working on the back on the car.
Made some mistakes when i started, they give me a hard time now.
But now i know what to avoid and which order to go when i start my next car :)

The last of the V8 Interceptors. Be a shame to blow it up.

Great Idea for a project to work on. I look forward to following your progress.

Got some details ready at the front-end and did a render of the whole thing.
No worries its only a temporary color to see the details better :)
Going for hood-detail next, then trunk, doors and windows.
