near clip works far clips out

Hi has anyone run into this I am working on a rather large landscape project in layout where i have some objects quite close to camera that I needed to move around so I altered the clip distance to a smaller number but then found it clipped the objects that were further away, I stuffed around with the settings but could not get the close and far objects to be present in my view?:(

can anyone help

I just had to restart and found that I can see all the objects so please disregard this post
