Hey
I heard there will be new IK system in LW8. Is that ok to use
the old files ( rigging in LW7.0) in Lightwave8 ?
And also is that ok using old plugings in Lw8 ?

Newtek has usually provided some backwards compatibility with old features when replacing them. Like the Steamer/HV discussion. You can (could?) still render steamer scenes for quite some time after it was removed in 6.0

There is always forwards compatibility. If they change the file format all old objects and scenes will move to the new format like it did from the 5.x to 6.x. I doubt they messed with the format though but I could be wrong.

I had the feeling you could use the old Ik and new Ik in a scene at once ... I could be really wrong though :p

I saw in the Siggraph streams that the old (current) IK system will still be inplace for backward compatibility along with the new system.
Man, I can't wait!

The Old IK and New IK will both work together.....so you can rig parts with old and part with new and it will work together if you like :)

You beat IK around for a while and Proton himself makes a appearance.
