Will VT[3] Get LightWave 8?

The features and enhancements in the upcoming LightWave 8 seem like an incredible bargain for the price of an upgrade. BUT . . .

As far as I can tell, the upgrade is only for the standalone version of LightWave.

So, questions:

Will the upcoming LightWave 8 upgrade work with the version of LightWave in VT[3]?

If not, when will VT[3] get an equivalent upgrade to its LightWave?

VT[3] ships with LW 7.5. You can upgrade to LW8 from VT[3]. Call me at 919-790-5488 if you have any more questions.

Here's the latest about LW[8] and VT[3] . . . .

Wait to upgrade until LW[8] is released because NewTek will need to make a new revision when shipping that is tied to the VT card.

The DFX+ bundle will not work with it because DFX+ is tied to the LW dongle, which VT does not have.

I think you should wait until LW[8] ships before purchasing your LightWave upgrade. . . .

FYI: DFX+ tech offered to tie my install to the VT card if I wanted, but I declined, nevertheless, apparently, it can be done...
