I have imported an EPS stick figure that I need to bend over and pick up a ball. How do I make geometry on that file so when I add bones, they will work?

I am not very educated in Lightwave, and need help!

THANKS! Paul

dumb question -- is this figure viewed in 3D, or as a simple 2D image?

Lightwave can be infinitely complex for this type of work. If you have a stick figure, it may be easier to draw your key images in illustrator, import that to flash, and let it 'tween them.

Although a simple figure, you are talking character animation, which is one of the more difficult tasks in 3D.

It would be used as a 3d object.

Make sure the you lines in Illustrator are actually boxes (if you created them with a strokes, use the outline stroke option to make them into boxes). Import into modeler, then run the Julienne plug (or break out the knife tool) to add geometry to your boxes so you can bend. You'll probably want a lot, depending on whether you want a smooth bend or not.
