When I am editing a yellow bar appears at the top of the time line. When I put my cursor over it, the cursor turns into a box containing "s/s". When this bar appears I can only playback what is under the bar in the time line. I don't know what I have done to make this bar appear. I don't know how to make it go away. I can only stretch the bar out, so that it covers the entire time line.
As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Marla

It is playback range... Control-Click on it to cancel...

... Or left-click the little arrow at the top of the vertical scroll bar to turn it on or off - the first option in the drop-down menu. The key is to NOT click the empty horizontal bar immediately above the time code bar - that's what turned it on for you in the first place.
