3 Play 820 audio question

We are in the middle of a full control room redesign. We have an order for the new 3 play 820. Since it's 8 input. I have an audio question. We record our announcer audio with the cameras in order to make a highlight clip at the end of the game. Right now I'm thinking that I will need to DA the audio so all 3 of my cameras have the same audio. Does the 3 play have a soft audio patch? Meaning can I bring the audio in once and route or patch it to other inputs? I have never used the 3 play so I'm just guessing in how to edit a game highlight together. Thanks for any help in advance.

You can do it a couple ways. If your audio is analog style then yes a DA is needed to feed to all the inputs. If you are using a SDI router and have embedded SDI audio in each camera stream then your router should be handling the distribution for you.

Short answer is you need a solution in front of the 3Play. There is no soft audio matrix or patch.
