Hey guys!
So I'm having a couple odd problems with Lightwave. First, every time I open modeler and try creating any geometry it instantly crashes and says "critical error, create a crash report" I have narrowed it down to when I have no license key and it runs in discovery mode everything works fine, but when I create the license key file this problem occurs every time.
Second, sometime's when I open either Modeler or Layout, the UI shows up but there's no grid or camera's, viewports at all...just gray. And I can't select any of the buttons, then it goes into the windows "not responding" freeze.
So with these two problems I can't use lightwave at all. I've called tech support and it stumped them as well, they said they'll get back to me. If anyone has a hint of what this could be please let me know. Here's my computer specs:
Windows 7 64bit
6gig DDR3 ram
Geforce GTS 250
Thanks,
Matt

Yeah here's where I'm at. I did a fresh install of Windows and put Lightwave on first, everything worked! Then I installed all my other programs updated nvidia drivers and all and now it crashes. So somewhere between the fresh start and all my updates something went wrong. I also found out that LW works in safe mode though. I'm wondering if its some driver issue for my video card?

Yeah thats where is was wondering, what NVidia drivers are you using now. Did not try safe mode, will give it a go. Im assuming by Safe Mode you mean windows in safe mode

Found the solution, don't know if you have K9 on your computer but it turns out that's what it was for me. Here's another thread on the subject: http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118101

this may not be releated but I found with LW10 trail , when my firewall stopped any of the connections "usually global hook-up" it stops the UI from working , you need to enable all connections it pulls one of the dlls

Well i have Layout, Modeler and Hub enabled through the firewall is there anything else i need to do then or let through.
Well this has really got me now. Its started to freeze up again, if i delete all configs and start it up it works a couple of times then freezes again. If i delete the configs again it works again but only for a bit
