Lightwave Crashes with Graphics Card

Hi people,

Im having graphics card problems with both Modeler and Layout.
Both make the Graphics card crash and reset. Leaving Lightave in a frozen state.

PC is a Dell XPS 420
Windows 7 (64 bit)
8GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2

This didnt happen with Lightwave v9.6

Any Ideas?

I'm not sure if this will help your specific problem, but sometimes OpenGL doesn't behave well. You could try to disable some of the OpenGL acceleration and features.

Have you checked that your Catalyst drivers are up-to-date?

I seem to be having similar problems where Layout just freezes on screen.
I was thinking that it may be Graphics Card (I have ATI FirePro V5800)

It happens when clicking on a controller or scrubbing the time line, and especially when i'm using IKBoost.

a Colleague at work suggested that it could be the use of DDR3 Ram being used with a the application in 32bit mode instead of 64bit...?

In Modeler I get 'selection stick' for want of a better discription, I select a vertex and move it, it then remains stuck to my subsequent mouse move. really anoying. - no problems with 9.6
