The above link will take you to a web site I recently posted. This is an exploration of a film project I am trying to raise money to actually produce. Warning, it is graphic intense.

So the question I have (as I am about to cause trouble here)...why do I have to run IE and have WMP 9 to go to your site?

There are tons of browsers that are more standards compliant, and older versions of WMP that work very well. I don't run IE, and I don't have WMP 9. Not on my PC (which I wouldn't use normally, I admit it) or especially on my Mac. I guess I shouldn't look at your site. Sorry.

Sorry you are locked out of the site. IE 4.0 is a safe bet for most people. 90% of people browsing the web use IE. WMV 9 was used because the company I work for needed to encode stuff to it. My machine did the coding and when it was installed, it superseded WMV 8. If you click on a WMV 9 file, WM will download the latest codecs in order to play it back. I, again, am sorry you can't view the site.

I'm just being a troublemaker

I'm one of those obnoxious Mac users, and IE on the Mac has been haphazard at best, and is now DOA, since MS killed it. WMP hasn't been upgraded since 7 on the Mac, although MS says they are working on a WMP 9 version (which means WMP 10 for the rest of you, shortly before or after).

Don't worry, the vast majority of the world is able to view your site. It's just us troublemakers that won't. Good luck with the film!
