hello,

I was looking for a way to adjust the length of still images on the timeline when i discovered that i could do it in tool shed - video - set lengths.

However, i don't think its working right.

i selected the "set the total length" button and entered a length greater than the current length of the clips.

Under "apply to" i selected "selected clips".

i selected all still clips and unselected all audio clips then clicked "perform".

unfortunatly, the audio clips get spread apart further down the timeline even though they where not selected.

am i doing something wrong?

You may have to unlock audio/video first.
Not sure but just a shot in the dark

If you're trying to change the length of stills, tool shed isn't the most efficient way to do it.

Just multiselect them and change them on the bottom of the normal interface. Much quicker and easier.

Don't forget ripple can effect how things down the line react. Also, be aware that dragging a still stretches it as opposed to making it longer. You can override this behavior by using Alt drag or typing in a length. The difference between stretching and lengthening is important when you have nodes set or used the toolshed to set fades, etc.

There is also a setting in prefs that determines the default still lenght. I keep adjusting that as needed
