I am looking at getting Lightwave 10 for a Non Commercial UDK Project that I am developing.
The only thing holding me back is this.
Does Lightwave export to the Unreal Development Kit?
If so can someone please inform me how to do it :)
Thank you,
Ben

Hi,
Yes lightwave does export to UDK. I've been working my way thru how to do this over the last few days... (Although I'm using LW9.6)
Here are some useful links that I've found:
Unreal Skeletal Export Plugin (Layout) (http://www.troggpond.com/lwtools/unrealskel/index.html)
Tutorial on how to use the plugin (http://www.clintons3d.com/tutorials/lightwaveUnrealPlugins.htm)
Importing static meshes into unreal from modeller. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AT-xDfTbzh8)
Using this export plugin I managed to get fairly clean animation out of lw and playing in unreal. Though it took me a while to work out that you need a 30 frame buffer in lightwave for your anim to play correctly in unreal. If you start your animation at frame 0, anything from 0-30 will not be exported for some reason...so start anim at 30 or above.
Hope this helps
