So I finally upgraded to win7 64bit and I'm trying to lock down on what's causing my blue screens. The only hardware change that I've made was with ram. As far as I can tell, the ram is fine. My motherboard may not like it and that's where my problems could be coming from (had this problem when I built the machine). That or my video card drivers are pooched.

I was using whatever microsoft said I should use when I installed the OS (forget what version it was). I'm running 260.99 right now because I read somewhere that it was working well for them. Most of the time when things blow up, it's when I have LW running. So I'm just wondering what other people are using and find stable before I try and swap out the ram.

Blue screens in my case was always RAM related. Even if You have for example ram capable to work 1666mhz try 1333mhz. Do not trust what they say in spec because often 1666 is possible in strict environment . Testing the memory will not show anything but it will crash during rendering.
