Help with steamer atmosphere...

This is a earth model I'm working on, but the atmosphere is doing weird things where the light falls off.

Instead of fading out gradually, it does it harshly (see arrows).

Any way to fix that?

Is your volumetric quality set to best? If not, then do so. Otherwise there is no easy solution for this. What you are experiencing is volumetric aliasing/ banding. The only way to overcome this in LW would be using textures instead of real shadows.
