I was fixing the Rest on Ground plug-in glitch as a result of installing the 7.5c patch. I got the fix from another thread at CgTalk covering this as well as another issue involving SkyGen.
Which brings me to my observation and question. When examining the SkyGen folder there's actually more than one folder in the directory, all labeled SkyGen. I believe there's about 4-6 such folders (I'm at work and away from my LW atm) and all of them seem to be empty except for one which has files populated. Is this normal or not? Can someone check their 7.5c installation and see if they have the same mysterious set up?
TIA.

Hmmm...guess nobody here owns LW and therefore can't do a simple check of their directory...:(

I have 4 skygen folders under C:\LightWave\Programs\Presets\EnvironmentHandler\T extured Environment. They are, SkyGen3 Day, SkyGen3 Night, SkyGen3 Space, and SkyGen3 Studio. Each one has presets in it. Is that what you wanted to know?

Is Skygen an Eki plugin?
Yep, but I believe it comes in demo form with the 7.5c update (possibly also the 7.5 line in general).

Ah, that explains why the about says it is a special lightwave version.

Oops, my bad! I was extremely busy and couldn't check my LW directory until now.
It turns out it is Sky Tracer I'm curious about and not SkyGen which is a 3rd party plug-in, right? Anyway, I've noticed 3 SkyTracer folders, all empty, and one SkyTracer2 folder that is populated with subfolders and pst files. I'm guessing the empty "SkyTracer" folders are old remnants and are redundant now, correct?
Also, when going through the LW/Programs/Presets directory I noticed more empty folders such as: (None), Image World, LW_TextureEnvironment, Textured Environment, ImageFilterHandler, PixelFilterHandler (incl. '.viper' & 'saslite'), ShaderHandler, and Volumetric Handler.
Are all these empty folders created during install in the event of future need for them? What about the 'saslite' folder? I thought saslite was included in LW [7] and up? Do I need to install it separately from the LW Install disc?
Thanks again for any comments/suggestions.
