Hello I have been racking my brains trying to be able to put a clock on screen during a live event. We go to varous high schools and stream their basketball games, and do a good job but cant get the clock on the screen.
The DAKTRONICS interface wont work for us, as the schools all have different scoreboards.
What I want to do is put a camera on the scoreboard, and be able to put a cropped version of that video as bug overlaying the main camera.
We have lightwave 3d v9, but cant use it yet... not very user friendly at all... lol... we also have the liveset generator.
any ideas? I just want CAM1 full screen, with CAM2 as a bug in the top right corner, cropped on the top and bottom, so I can end up with the actual clock counting down on screen. I can move the camera to fit the window.
Should take two minutes for someone that knows what they're doing....
Learning lightwave is on my to-do list, but swamped with sports right now

Presumably you are using an SD model TC?

I have made many of these for clients but I fear if you call, you would be disappointed in my pricing because time is not always a factor on a service (I always find it a little insulting when someone eludes that because I have taken 20 years to master my craft, which equates to being able to accomplish certain tasks quicker than the average user, allows them to start telling that if it takes 30 min's, then it should not...).
But I digress...
I do offer a "PhotoShop Template" service where I send you a template and you design the 2D LiveSet. I then take around 20 - 30 mins to swap out certain items to make it LiveSet ready and then compile it into a LiveSet, which by the way includes an alignment LiveSet to frame the camera to be used in the GameClock LiveSet. For this service, I charge $125 (my minimum labor). FYI: I also create a FTP download folder that will hold the finished LiveSet for easy download. This is just in case you need to restore your TriCaster therefore deleting your custom LiveSet. I'll add that because I have mastered my craft and have created many LiveSets, I am able to quickly advise on a clients design as to how well it will work
PS If you decide to take on the learning curve of LW which also means using version 9.6 and higher to use the plug-in, I am more than happy to answer questions via the forum, to assist you in getting up to speed quicker.
Take care,
Tim H.

Preach on, Jose! Preach on! :agree:
An art director was once asked how long it took him to produce a design.
His answer: "A lifetime"
