View Full Version : Screamernet overloading the Server CPU

I was wondering if anyone out there was having issues with Screamernet overloading the servers cpu. I can't to into too much specifics because out IT dept is looking into the issue but they complain that whenever a Lightwave scene is dropped to the farm (using Deadline controller) the servers cpu pegs at 100% other scenes from C4D or Maya which only show a 2% usage. I should have more info later but do let me know if anybody experienced the same issues. Thanks
Is the server being used as a render node/s?

Hum Ive recently started to use 9.6.1 on my renderfarm hoping to unlock some ram. My scene is a whooping 150,000,000 polygons using nearly 2G of data. My machine renders this fine which has 16G however each machine on the renderfarm only has 6G and seems to fall over ofter each machine has only rendered a couple of frames. I think they lock up when trying t clear the ram for the next frame.
Apart from optimizing my geometry, is there any other tips on getting this job rendered across the farm?
