View Full Version : LW to FBX to Unity: Mac vs. PC

On my Mac I made a character with some bone animation, exported to FBX, imported into Unity and the animation played back when I hit play.

On the PC I made a character with bone animation, exported to FBX (with all three exporters I could find,) but the animation doesn't playback upon play.

In both cases the animation itself is listed in the asset list. Also, the character exported form the PC side has some deformation issues upon import to Unity (ex: left leg of the mesh gets gnarled.)

There are a lot of variables here, but I am wondering if Unity is consistent between Windows and MacOS. I am also wondering if the FBX exporters for LW9.6 are consistent between the Mac and Windows versions.

Any thoughts or recommendations?

I´ve had troubles with IK bones FBX export to Unity on PC platform.
Please let me know if you want me to test something.

Thanks for the offer. If I get some test content together that I won't get fired over sharing I'll give you a holler. And you're right- IK seems to be involved as straight FK doesn't appear to get hosed on its own.
