Ok, so I decided to try my hand at modeling my van after having a peek at Lewis's tutes.

Still got a LONG way to go, LOTS of detail to add. -Handles, mirrors, Interior, etc...

So, waddya think?

Yeah... preview is dumb... it takes the file out of the submission form...

Looks pretty damn good to me... cant give you any help as your obviously a lot better at modelling than i am!

I must thank you for explaining why the pics never showed on my first 2 posts, i never realised it was due to previewing them... doh!!!

1 question though, (curiosity not a criticism), are the tyres really as low profile as on your model, or are they an optional extra?:)

Dellik, that the beauty of 3d. If you can imagine it, you can build it. The reason I modeled it was to see what it would look like on some different rims. ...I think my favourite so far are some 17" antera 123's. It's so great to be able to visualize these things in 3d first before you spend the $$.

AndyJ, thanks man! I realize the mesh is "Heavy", remembering that it's my first model using spline patching. I think I started with a few too many splines. I plan to model my other car, a toyota trueno, when this one is closer to finished, and hopefully think about the splines more wisely this time around.

P.S. Are you from auckland? and do you attend LWUG?

Cheers for your comments :-)

Looking really good man. I have not built one good looking car yet. Just can't get through that Lewis Tut.
