I think it looks great!
What about some missles on the bottom of it.. Like between those two things on the side.
It looks like something from Start Wars.

Definitely put on some AA, also slap some panels on it.
Edit: I knocked together an example to show you what I mean..

What exactly dose antialiasing do? i wasnt gonna put panels on it, becase they dont really have any. Also how would i put them on if i was. i might try it to jsut see what it looks like.

Anti-Aliasing (AA) removes the stairs/jaggies you see on the front of your ship... It makes curves/lines smoother by mixing the colors better... It does it by going over the image multiple times and smoothes things...
You can find them in the Camera Properties... Set to medium, render and see the difference...
BTW what kinda game is it?

As for panels, there are a couple of ways of doing them.
If you have the IFW2 textures, you can use one of the shaders, which is how I did the panels on the example I posted. Took a preset, then tweaked it a little.
Alternatively, there is great way to do it with mapping by Eki..

which is very good.
Worth the effort as it just lifts the object, even if you only apply a bump effect, to break up the "sameness" of a surface.

The ship actually does have a slight bump map on it, but its hard to notice. Could i also try to make teh patch effect by using a brick bump map? Also, rich the game is a simple lil online game that i play. Its fun if u have nothing to do. But the servers arent that good so u get spikes once in a while. Thanks for the info ill try and make it loook a lil more realistic.

hmm, i cant seem to get the patch effect. When i put an image map on the red parts, how do i get i scaled down so that it looks more like a bunch of patches instead of one huge one? that site wasnt working for me before but now it is so im going to try that.

ill try the patches later on. I just cant seem to get them to work. even with the tutorial. I used antialiasing and i rearanged the ships a lil bit. heres a pic, the ground seems to reflect the sky to much so it makes the landscape look a lil odd

Also, while im still on this project for a lil while, are there any tutorials or do any of u know how to make like flame coming out of the rockets? It has to be like jet flame not just fire. what i mean is like a powerful cone shape.
thanks

I'm stuck in work now :(
When I get home, I will throw together a small example for you to dissect and post a link to it. That is 10 hours away though <arrgghhh!>

Okay,
I've put an example together, feel free to pull it apart and see what I've done.
Be warned - it's a 2.4Mb file (zip) so it may take a couple of minutes if you are on a 56k connection.

Also, I'd drop your reflection on the ground to around 3% - unless it's metal or glass, it's unlikely to have a huge reflection value, if any.

yea i was just goofing around with the ground. I wasnt gonna take this lil project serious but now i think i might.
