Hello,
I am running Win 7 64 and SE 2.0.
Everything works fine except the "voice over" option.
It crashes SE every time I start it.
Reinstall does'nt change a thing. I know it's coming from the :
Devices.Audio.Capture.dll, this is what Windows says.
Any ideas ?
Thanks.

Sounds like an audio driver update is required.

Thank you for your answer.
The drivers were up to date and SEVT 5.3 "Voice over" works fine.
Still crashing.
This is strange....

Has this machine always had Win 7 on it? Or has this problem only occurred since upgrading to Win 7?

This machine ran on Win XP 32 for 1 1/2 year before going to Win 7 64 last week.
XP is still available under double boot.
Thanks

So to repeat, has this problem only occurred since upgrading to Win 7?
Also, do you have a 64bit processor, do you get any error messages and how much ram do you have?

Yes, the problem is only here since upgrading to Win 7.
SE 2.0 "Voice over" works fine under Win XP
SEVT 5.3 "Voice over" works fine under Win 7.
Intel Core I7
I have 6 Gig of ram.
Thanks

Yes, looks like this one goes into the SE2.0 and Win 7 bug box.
When SE2 was released in January 2010 there was a major effort to locate and destroy the bugs that were in SE2. One of the (many) bugs was SE2's compatibility with Win 7 and although a lot of problems were ironed out I believe that a few still remain.
The advice from the NT 'powers that be' was to report the bugs so they could add the fixes to an eventual update/patch, but until that happened John Perkins would fix the bug and send you (the individual who reported it) the patch. So I'd say that's the best way to go at the moment. Simply report it to Fogbugz by following this link:
