View Full Version : LWCAD 3.6 and LW10 Area / volume tool crash
I get a lockup and crash when trying to use the measure area or volume tool with 3.6 and LWIO - anyone else?
Make box pick face... crash.
It doesn't crash for me but for some reason neither tool actually displays the volume or area. In LW 10 x64
It does not crash right away and does not show any measurements. As I click on it two or three times it looks like it keeps trying to run the measurement then crashes.
before 3.6 it would slice the object or surface like a bread loaf and display the area now it triples the poly one way then the other then locks up.
Thanks for confirming there is an issue - anyone else?

Wade- I haven't installed LWCAD onto LW10 yet but I'm pretty sure Viktor is planning on releasing a stability/maintenance release once LW10 is out. So I would suggest you email Viktor and let him know any problems you are experiencing.
Done - thanks.
So far it is the only thing I have found. Very happy with his work just hit a snag with that one. Wanted to check with you all not to air dirty laundry but to confirm a bug before I bugged him with a bug.

It works fine here using his last beta, using 64 bit.
great! - so you are 3.6x then?
Checked e-mail will now get with the program and check out last update thanks for the heads up.
Seems to work with the new build thanks.

You'll need to turn on Legacy OpenGL for this.

IIRC new OpenGL (since v9.6) doesn't have functions which print text to viewport in Modeler..
I have the same issue with TrueArt's ShowWeights and ShowEdgeWeights.

Wow, that's... unfortunate. Turning on "legacy opengl" causes a huge performance hit, here.

Ah glad you saw that one sensei, i had noticed it yesterday and was going to mention it to you, did not notice it in LWCAD, but i know Viktor is working on a stability update for LWCAD and LW10
I'm still using 2.5 haven't tested it all in LW10, but so far so good.
This area volume plugin works with LW10
